FAQ Slow Wine Fair 2023. Access, ticket office, tasting, events… and everything else you need to know!

ACCESS

Who can access the Fair? Only visitors with a valid entrance ticket for the day can enter the Pavilions of BolognaFiere.

Can under-18s come to event? No, in line with Italian laws pertaining to the serving of alcoholic beverages, entrance to the Fair is reserved to visitors over 18 years of age. Minors may not access the Fair even if accompanied by parents.

Is there disabled access? Yes. The Fair is entirely accessible to people with mobility issues, who are also permitted to enter the Fair for free, together with their companions. Free tickets can be collected at the BolognaFiere box office with a certificate of invalidity.

TICKET OFFICE

Do you need to book in advance to come to Slow Wine Fair 2023? You can buy a ticket in advance online, or you can buy a ticket from the ticket office at BolognaFiere when you arrive. Discount codes for Slow Food members, FISAR members, ASCOM members and a series of other categories can only be used online.

Can you buy a ticket at BolognaFiere? During the event the online ticket office will still be operational, though there will be a physical ticket office at BolognaFiere too.

I’m a wine professional: when can I come to Slow Wine Fair 2023? Industry professionals are welcome on Sunday, February 26 from 12 to 7 p.m., on Monday, February 27 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Tuesday, February 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets costs €20, with two- and three-day passes available for €30 or €40 respectively. I’m a wine enthusiast: when can I come to Slow Wine Fair 2023? All visitors are welcome on Sunday, February 26 from 12 to 7 p.m.

What discounts are there for Slow Food members, FISAR members and students of the University of Gastronomic Sciences? Slow Food members, like FISAR members and students of the University of Gastronomic Sciences have a €10 discount on tickets for Sunday, February 26 from 12 to 7 p.m. More info here. If I buy a ticket but can’t come to the event, can I get a refund? Yes, but only if you request your refund by February 24, 2023.

Can I get an invoice for my tickets? No. We cannot produce invoices for tickets, as the tickets in terms are valid fiscal documents as per Italian law.

ABOUT THE EVENT SPACE, SPECIAL TICKETED ACTIVITIES AND ONLINE CONFERENCES

What are the event areas?

The event takes place in Pavilions 15 and 20 of BolognaFiere.

May the wines on display be tasted?

Yes, wines on display may be tasted.

May wines on display be bought?

The wines on display at Slow Wine Fair are not for sale in the event space. The wineries may only bring a predefined and limited number of bottles.

Are wine glasses included in the ticket? Yes! At the entrance to Pavilion 15 and 20 there’s an area where wine glasses are handed out and collected. At the end of your visit you should leave your glass in the same areas, as you cannot enter or leave the Fair with glass objects.

Are dogs allowed?

Entrance for dogs is allowed if they are kept on a leash with a muzzle, with an exemption for service dogs for the blind who may access the Fair without restrictions. Please be aware that in the nearby Pavilion 22 on Sunday, February 26 there will be a Cat Fair where dogs are prohibited!

I have a ticket for Sana Slow Wine Fair: do I need to buy another to take part in a Masterclass?

Yes. The entrance ticket for Sana Slow Wine Fair does not include participation in the Masterclasses, but only grants access to the main exhibition space. The Masterclasses each have individual tickets. If you’re a wine enthusiasts (i.e. not an industry professional) and wish to take part in the Masterclasses on February 27 or 28 please write to info.eventi@slowfood.it

I have a ticket for a Masterclass, do I need to buy a ticket for Sana Slow Wine Fair?

Yes. A Masterclass ticket does not grant access to the main exhibition space. Buy your general access tickets here.

How can I participate in online conferences?

The online conferences of Slow Wine Fair 2023 are open to all and will be held on February 8, 15 and 22. To take part with live translation you need to register on the event page. You can also watch the conferences directly on the home page, but without translation.

What can I eat at Slow Wine Fair? Yes. In Pavilion 15 there will be a food area with various food trucks as well as a bar serving coffee and sandwiches.

Where can I park?

Bologna & Fiera Parking manages various parking areas around the Fiera District. In the more distant parking areas there is a free shuttle service to bring visitors to the Fiera.
