Biodiversity is a foundational pillar of the Slow Food Manifesto for good, clean and fair wine.

There are numerous grape varieties around the world that are either protected by Slow Food Presidia, or listed on the Ark of Taste. Promoting viticultural biodiversity means working to protect of landscapes of priceless beauty. What biodiversity are we discussing at the Slow Wine Fair? We’ll look at promotional projects for the local viticultural heritage in the south of Turkey, in Croatia, and on the slopes of Sicilian volcanoes. What’s the common thread here, and why should we fight to preserve this diversity?

During the meeting a new Slow Food Presidium will be presented: Vin de Rosa, from Croatia.
