“Wine, especially in Italy, is the poetry of the land.” Mario Soldati.

The poetry of humid clay or dry sand, of crushed granite or crumbling limestone.

And there there’s that imperfect poetry of the seasons, whether they be inclement or sun-drenched. There’s the poetry of human labor, which is able to infuse all elements with its own identity.

The wine enthusiast is, above all, someone who, when considering a glass or choosing a bottle, looks for that poetry – or should we say song? – to capture its message. They are ready to explore, discover and taste the splendid diversity of the wine world.

Not all enthusiasts are at the same level because they don’t all have the same knowledge, experiences or skills. One thing they have in common though, is that passion behind their approach to wine: conscious consumption, moderate and curious, which knows that wine doesn’t end in the glass, but speaks of much more.

At the Slow Wine Fair…

Enthusiasts can explore the Fair, fall in love with the wines on display and meet the producers behind them! They’ll find a selection of wines made with respect for the environment, with love for the landscape and the good of the agricultural community, and with respect for the workers.

They can participate in Masterclasses to learn more about vintages, terroir and producers.

Enthusiasts give winemakers and industry professionals the chance to continue their path toward virtuous change in winemaking and, more generally, in agriculture.
